“Lash Gaze” follows two neighbours, Kate and Tom, who share a rare eyelash mutation but experience it in opposite ways. Kate is independent and outward, pushing herself to embrace and amplify her condition, while Tom, a reclusive painter, retreats into his own isolated world.
Fashion reflects their inner states: Tom dresses elegantly when observing Kate, as if living a real connection, while Kate sheds layers at home, symbolically removing her daily defences. Their relationship evolves from voyeurism into a deeper mutual understanding, reaching a level of intimacy only they can share.
